Average Joe and I wantedto do something a little different with our weekend.  With all the summer blockbusters out right now, we decided to see Transformers.  Joe and I both have fond memories of playing with the Hasbro toys as kids and several friends raved about how great the movie was so it seemed like the right choice.  After a bit of debate we settled on the Studio Movie Grill, which is one of 4 movie theatres within 20 minutes of the house.  We couldn’t have picked a better place to see a movie.  Instead of standard theatre seats each person has a leather rolling chair that scoots close to the bar or table.  Joe and I ordered burgers, cheese fries, and a brownie sundae; the fries was delicious!  As for the movie — it was freakin’ AWESOME!!  I honestly did not expect to enjoy this movie.  I anticipated a campy, over-done comic book on the big screen.  Boy was I wrong.  The special effects were stunning, the plot was mostly well-written (aside from the whole alien robot thing), and I love Shia Labeouf.  I knew this flick was going to make my Top 10 movie list when I had to hold back the tears after one of the cars was critically injured and on the verge of death 🙂
