I love Texas!! I’m originally from south Louisiana – moved to Houston in 2001. The climate didn’t improve but everything else did. I love big city life and don’t miss my small, claustrophobic hometown at all. I love the numerous options and opportunities of the big city and the diverse people I’ve come to know as friends.
I’m an English teacher at a north Houston high school, mostly urban in nature. The kids are alternately wonderful and horrible, but the job definitely keeps me on my toes. I’m lucky to work in a school with a tons of great people, and I have made several friendships that I know I’ll cherish for life.
I have one awsome daughter who is a delightful handful! She is an amazingly intelligent, creative, and funny kid who keeps me grounded and focused on the important aspects of life. Our spontaneous moments of ridiculous silliness never fail to brighten my day 🙂
